Welcome to May! Right off the bat, May 1st Pluto stations retrograde! Mercury continues its retrograde until May 15th.
In the mist of it all we are in the middle of Eclipse season. We had the first of this 2-part season on April 19 – 20 with the second New Moon in Aries at 29° 50’ only minutes away from the moon moving into Taurus. This brought about a transformation that is gifting you with blessings as you enter a New Chapter in your life.
The universe gives you what you are asking for, so be sure to be in a high vibration energy because the universe will replicate the energy that you are giving off. If you are living in fear or a negative mindset or using alcohol or other substances to escape from dealing with your emotions. Then you may not like what the universe is giving you. Be completely mindful of what you are thinking. Think positive and know your worth!
Universal Month #12/3
When you add up the Universal Year 7 + May the 5th month of the year = 12. Reducing the number 12 is 1+2=3. That is how you calculate the numbers for the universal month and reduce it to the root number.
The meaning of #3 is creative self-expression, socially interactions, getting together with friends. Deep within yourself you can visualize and imagine the life you want that favors luck, abundance, and joy. When connecting to the shadow side of #3 you may get into drama, meddling in personal situations or feeling depression overwhelming you.
The meaning of # 12 is about education on all levels and strengthening your knowledge. The solution to gaining knowledge and wisdom is within you, by learning all there is to learn as the eternal student of life! Paying attention to your spiritual and intuitive education will flow with the natural cycles of life increasing abundance, fulfillment, and joy. Any obstacles of achieving knowledge, wisdom or joy comes from patterns of programming that may create fear or victim consciousness within you.
Connect with your observer and you will know what is needed to find peace, and serenity. Be in a place of acceptance, letting go of worries or fear, and you will feel safe and secure. Some helpful suggestions for May are to find quiet, secluded places and meditate, perhaps in the forest or near water.
Sun in Taurus
For the better part of May the Sun is in the sign of Taurus, which is a fixed earth sign. Taurus represents sensual pleasures, the 5 senses and beyond. It is a practical, simplistic, loyal, and steadfast zodiac sign. It is connected to nature, trees, plants, rocks, and crystal. The planetary ruler is Venus. As we get into May the planting season begins in the northern hemisphere.

Anytime a planet goes retrograde its time to reflect, review and reprogram the theme of the planet that is in retrograde.
Mercury went retrograde in Taurus at 15° on April 21, the day after our New Moon & Total Solar Eclipse. This retrograde continues to May 15 when it stations at 5° of Taurus and begins moving forward. Taurus rules the throat and Mercury governs communication and information. One of the biggest things about Mercury retrograde is how our communication affects those that we are talking too and conveying our thoughts, clear and concise. During Mercury retrograde miscommunication and misunderstanding, what is being said, are huge challenges. Think before you speak and make sure you ask questions if you do not understand what is being communicated.
On May 1st Pluto goes retrograde! Pluto is connected to our power sources. Reflect on power and control! Are you being controlled, and doesn’t someone have power over you? Or are you doing this to someone else? This is the time to reprogram and change this energy.
Full Moon in Scorpio at 15° – Lunar Eclipse, on May 5 at 10:34 am PST, 1:34 pm EST. and 6:34 pm GMT
The Sun is in Taurus and the Moon is in Scorpio, this is a Lunar Eclipse. More than 2 years the lunar nodes have been in Taurus and Scorpio increasing the intensity of the Eclipse. In July the Lunar Nodes with change to Aries and Libra.
Taurus and Scorpio both have connections to money coming in and going out, also the connection to debts. With Uranus traveling through Taurus for the past 5 years, the instability of our finances has been noticeable.
During this Eclipse the Sun is sitting beside Uranus in Taurus and opposite the Moon in Scorpio. This is a revolutionary time of breakthroughs, freedom, and surprises.
Pluto is the ruling planet of Scorpio and its squaring North Node bringing things to the surface to face the truth to put you on the right path. The path of transformation is upon you!
Mercury retrograde is sitting together with the Sun in Taurus opposite the Moon in Scorpio opening to deep conversations about taboo subjects, such as money, debt, taxes, death, sex, and sexuality.
There are intense and challenging aspects during this Eclipse, however there are many beneficial aspects as well.

Bringing this month to a close the Sun moves into Gemini on May 21st. Gemini is a mutable air sign that is flexible and lightens up the mood. The ruling planet of Gemini is Mercury, and it is moving forward and by May 31 it will be back to full speed and out of the shadow period that follows Mercury retrograde.
