Welcome to October
Fall is in the air! Everything is receding, leaves are turning colour and falling off the trees. On top of that we have many planets in retrograde, including Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto. Any time a planet is in retrograde it is time to reflect, review and reprogram things about you, based on the themes of the planet! For instance, Mercury is in retrograde and moved back into Virgo which Mercury is the ruling planet that represents communication and analysis. Overthinking is never a good thing; it creates brain fog. It is time to quiet the brain and focus on health!
Jupiter is about feeling joy and how can you create joy in your life! Uranus is about technology, change, freedom and creating a new way of doing things. Saturn is discipline, rules and regulates and control. If you are too stern with your rules and regulates and need to control every situation, it can be your own determent. Neptune is the dreamer, floating to connect with everything. Universal consciousness and feeling everyone’s emotions and even absorb others’ emotions like its your own. This is a time to focus on setting boundaries. Pluto’s represents the destruction of power especially overpowering others. Its times to release, purge and banish things that no longer serve.
October 3, Mercury will station direct and proceed to slowly move forward until the planet picks up full speed ahead on October 17. October 9 is the day that Pluto stations direct, but Pluto is a slow-moving planet only gaining about 3 degrees a year.
On October 31, Mars will station retrograde and stays retrograde until January 13, 2023. Mars only retrogrades every 2 years. Mars entered Gemini on August 21, 2022, and it will remain in that sign until March 26, 2023. When this planet is in retrograde its time to reflect, review and reprogram your reactions to situations, including how you express yourself. Mars was known as the God of War with its direct, aggressive energy and being in communicative sign of Gemini beware of heat arguments breaking out. This is the time to step back, reflect and process what is happen before moving forward.
Universal Month Number 7
The number 7 presents us with many gifts but ask us to step back and take time out. Seven is a sabbatical number, one that we observe with teachers for instance with there 7-year sabbatical, taking a year off to partake in creative activities. With the #7 you may find that there is something you want to research. Choose this month to slow down and take extra breaks, it doesn’t mean you have to take the month off, just create space for extra breaks. It may be a great time to grab a book that you have been meaning to read. Its also a great time to go out in nature and find some quiet areas to be alone. When you are in solitude and focusing on your inner being and soul’s growth you will find that new ideas, insights, intuition, clearer thoughts come to the surface easier. Number seven is known for unexpected events.
Every year in October when calculating the Universal Month number, in this case #7, it is a preview of the upcoming year. When we enter 2023 it will be a 7 Universal Year. We are already tuning into that frequency.
Of course, this Universal Month number is on the global stage. With your own codes Personal Year and Personal Month throughout the year, it may be a totally different vibration. Full Moon in Aries at 16° on October 9 at 9:55 pm GMT, 4:55 pm EST, and 1:55 pm PST
Aries is a powerful zodiac sign to begin with, but in this case, there is a quadruple aspect with the opposition of the Sun and Moon which creates the Full Moon. Sun conjunct Venus in Libra and the Moon is conjunct Chiron in Aries. This will bring us into balance and harmony since the Sun is in Libra and the ruling planet of Libra is Venus being together will really enhance this energy of beauty, art, pleasure, abundance, what we value and relationships.
Opposite is the Moon which governs our emotions and Chiron the Healer in Aries. The planet that governs Aries is Mars which governs the passionate side of Love. Love is a big theme in this Full Moon, since Mars is the masculine and Venus is the feminine and there is a beautiful aspect called a Grand Trine that bringing these 2 planets together as well as Saturn which is in its last square with Uranus. This is a Grand Trine in Air, and this is the element that truly loves to move forward, and Mars is an initiating energy of forward momentum. Air moves us up to a higher perspective and a bird eye view, which gives us an objective observation.
As I mentioned above Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus are creating its final exact meet up at 18°. Saturn and Uranus started this square back in the end of 2021 and met up 3 times last year and now during its final time at 18°, which is about endings and creating unconditional love moving forward.
Square from Mars to Neptune – rest, don’t exert to much energy, take a time out
Mercury trine to Pluto – intuition, go deeply and use our psychic abilities.
Partial Solar Eclipse & New Moon in Scorpio at 2° on October 25 at 11:49 am GMT, 6:49 am EST, and 3:49 am PST
Venus is conjunct the Sun and Moon in Scorpio, which is deepening the intensity of the feminine energy, meaning that compassion, beauty, nurturing, love, peace, harmony, and intuition is at the forefront of this powerful New Moon. There have been so many dynamic aspects with Venus during September and flowing into October.
This conjunction of Sun, Moon, and Venus quincunx Jupiter at 0° Aries. At this point because Jupiter is retrograde until November 24. This aspect of planets being 5 signs apart creates confusion because they don’t necessarily understand each other. With this aspect Venus and Jupiter can bring tension to your relationship and/or your finances. There can be an imbalance between the love you are giving and that of which you are receiving. This is a great aspect of allowing others to really get to know you. When showing your vulnerability, you will begin to understand others, in turn that opens you up to a greater understanding about life in general. Warning! This is not the time to move forward of your own desires of projects without a lot of consideration and planning, because you may find yourself overwhelmed.
There are many aspects from Sun, Moon, and Venus in Scorpio! A beautiful trine with this conjunction to Mars in Gemini truly unfolds the social connection between the male and female energy and opening the fields of possibility of finding that perfect partner for you if you are single and deepening that connection if you are in a partnership already.
The ruling planet for Scorpio is Pluto and before Pluto was discovered the ruling planet was Mars. Pluto in Capricorn and Mars in Gemini are quincunx during this New Moon and Partial Solar Eclipse. What we will be seeing is more truths coming to the surface which may cause some conflict and possibly intense conversations and discussions. Pluto stays in each sign approximately 17 years, starting in 2023, Pluto will begin to move into Aquarius and retrograde back into Capricorn a few times over the next 2 years. The main theme of Pluto is breaking down, dismantling, power struggles and destroy outdated ideologies. Capricorn governs all things that connect with business and material gain, including big cooperations and social structures that are controlling in nature. On the individual level you need to watch that you are not overpowering others.
Seeing things from a higher perspective will help uncover mysteries and investigate situations to get to the truth. This is the time to dive into situations that were formerly off limits, secret or unavailable to you for whatever reason. Don’t react in an emotional way to things that trigger you.
Focus on thing that ignite you in a passionate way! Being in Eclipse season whatever you are working on will be over the next 6 months.
Blessings,
Laura Canal
